Conseco Fieldhouse
The Conseco Fieldhouse opened in November 1999. It’s home to the Indiana Pacers basketball team. When ground broke in 1997 to build the fieldhouse, the designers knew it was going to be a pure basketball arena that was a true reflection of the game and its roots.
There are many features of he Conseco Fieldhouse that make it unique. When you approach downtown Indianapolis on the highway you can see the two glass curtain walls that face east and west. When it’s lit up against the Indianapolis skyline there is now sight more beautiful. The interior has its unique points as well. Patrons can view the seating bowl as they make their way up the Grand Staircase. As you approach the seating bowl you will be amazed by the vast cases of memorabilia that is displayed. Everything from the concession stands and sponsor pavilions to the scoreboard and the roll-out bleachers has a nostalgic look. It is a temple dedicated to basketball. It has even been referred to as the “Camden Yards of basketball”. With 69 suites, 2,400 club seats and state of the art amenities. No other stadium can match it.
In addition to Pacers basketball, the Conseco Fieldhouse also hosts the Indiana Fever women’s basketball team and the Indiana Ice hockey team. There are also major boxing events here and concerts by some of today’s top performers.
