Indiana Convention Center

The Indiana Convention Center and the RCA Dome host many of the nation’s largest events, including the Bands of America Grand National Championships and the Coca-Cola Circle City Classic.  There is over 540,000 square feet of exhibit space and meeting space at the center.  You’ll find 48 meeting rooms, seven exhibit halls, four ballrooms and a domed stadium here. 

The Indiana Convention Center is unique because of its architectural design.  Visitors will enjoy floor to ceiling views of the city.  For events held here the Convention Center provides security personnel, event coordinators, technicians and welcome center volunteers.  There are many meeting spaces in the Indiana Convention Center but the most popular is the Sagamore Ballroom.  The Sagamore Ballroom is about the size of a football field and holds about 3,400 people.  It can also be divided into seven smaller sections.  This space not only has great acoustics, but also a very sophisticated sound system and unbelievable audio-visual capabilities. 

The RCA Dome is attached to the Indiana Convention Center and was opened in 1984.  The Dome is host to many conventions, trade shows, consumer shows and concerts.  Currently, it is also the home of the Indianapolis Colts football team; however in the fall of 2008 the Lucas Oil Stadium will become their new home.  The Dome will be torn down once the stadium is complete.  There are plans to also attach new additions to the Center, which will make it one of the largest convention centers in the country.
